In my dream last night, I was involved in a competition, living underwater for long periods of time, though breathing wasn't an issue. The location was under a huge, two-level concrete bridge, and there were whole groups of people participating. One participant offered some tips and tricks, including staying near one of the bridge pillars, using a tall concrete ladder to access the lower road level, and buying a large Big Gulp-style cup and having family members fill it and return it to you.

Jump into a Mini! What an amusing, if difficult, little game. :D

Go SpaceShipOne! Successful run to space #2, to win the Ansari X Prize! (I tuned into the live webcast just before the ship separated from its carrier at 60K feet, and caught bits of it including the successful touchdown and a lot of the followup commentary and speeches.)

Did y'all know about Early Voting, a.k.a. Absentee-In-Person Voting and Satellite Voting?

I wish I could afford this bike. So nice, so close, so lightly used! :)

License plate yesterday: XPATTXN. Ex-pat Texan, I think. :D

Man, Gallows Road (right outside my office) is a popular route for emergency vehicles today. (And isn't "Gallows Road" a great name for a road?)

So I mentioned the game The Omega Virus the other day, and [livejournal.com profile] profworm's cousin [livejournal.com profile] sylffor offered a little bit of techno he mixed a couple years ago: Omega Virus (Sylffor mix). Awesome. :D

Financial productivity for the evening:
Filed a lot of credit-cardy paperwork, paid a credit card bill, visited two websites and made a phone call to get my 401(k) rolled over from previous employer to current, and contacted Key Bank for assistance after getting advertising from them about loan consolidation. (See, I get loan consolidation offers all the time, but one of my loans is actually held by a Key subsidiary, and they seem much more reputable than, say, Nelnet.)

At work today, I learned about a few paperwork/database/parts-return procedures, and got my dysfunctional Helpdesk, Oracle, and network connection issues sorted out via a couple phone calls and some support requests. Woo!
