Born in late 1978, lived most of my life (outside of college) in Manassas, VA before moving to Lorton, VA in July '03, then Culpeper, VA in April '05 with then-girlfriend Riss, then Woodbridge, VA in October '05 with by-then-wife Riss, followed by Bumpass, VA (by Lake Anna) in October '07. I went to high school at TJHSS&T (a sci&tech magnet school) in Alexandria, VA; I attended Cornell U for five years, acquiring a BS in Mechanical Engineering, as well as an MEng in MechEng. I'm a brother in the Seal and Serpent Society and a Life Member of Alpha Phi Omega. I've been a Field Service Engineer for Quantum (formerly ADIC, who were bought out) in the DC area since Sep. '04 following a year at RDR, where I was an embassy security system installation tech (with a 3-month trip to Canberra.)
I live with my wife Riss (
gekko, whom I married on August 20th, 2005) with a blue&gold macaw, a severe macaw, several adult American Staffordshire terriers and a few puppies of the same, a papillon, a rescue husky/shepherd mutt, a tropical aquarium, three ferrets (Rory, Daisy, and Izzy), and a small horde of cats--some that we brought with us, several that showed up, and several more that were born here after momma showed up pregnant, plus indoor-only Queen Latifah, a big calico girl we adopted in 2011. I've previously owned a border collie (Kaylee), two rats (Natasha and Brandy), followed by two ferrets (Sylvie and Bruno), a tarantula (Francesca), a bearded dragon, a crested gecko, and leopard geckos.
I drive a 2011 Nissan Versa (preceded by an '01 Dodge Stratus R/T, an '07 Hyundai Elantra, a '96 Ford Explorer, an '86 Bronco II, and an '87 Plymouth Duster); my last bike was a 2001 Ducati ST2, prior to which I rode a 1981 Yamaha Maxim 550 until my accident on 10/19/03. (Also in the stable: Riss's '01 Dodge Ram 1500, our big purple '97 E150 van for dog shows and hauling, and an 18-foot Bayliner on permanent loan from Riss's parents; also, Riss had a '96 Ninja 250, followed by an '05 Ninja 500.)

There are also some pre-digital pictures online through the Pix page of my basic website; some older pictures of me are also available. I've been to France once, for a week my junior year of HS. I've traveled a fair amount about the mid-Atlantic and northeast; I've been around the South a few times, to Denver for several weeks for ADIC training, to California for a day here and there, a week in Texas in October '06 for the AmStaff National Specialty, and brief stops in assorted other states. With RDR, I traveled to Canberra, Australia for 3 months.
