Saturday plans
Jun. 12th, 2004 04:11 amAround 0230, I got an IM from Bea, telling me that Sarah realized she isn't free Saturday night, so between that and the fact that the guy who particularly wanted honky-tonk pulled out, she, her other friend, Nathan and I had to find alternate plans. We pondered, I web-searched, and we considered Melissa Ferrick (acoustic rock) at Jammin' Java, Rude Buddha (college rock, I suppose) at TT Reynold's, bluegrass at JV's, industrial/techno at Alchemy, Sister Hazel at the 9:30 Club, and shot down most of these ideas due to cost or atmosphere. However, I then happened to discover that Celebrate Fairfax started Friday, runs through Sunday, and features 14 hours of live music, food/drink, arts/crafts, exhibitions, and other such jollity at the Fairfax County Gov't Center, $10 for the day. Pending her approval--she went to sleep around 0330--that's what I'll be up to sometime after a good night's sleep. :)
(Shame that Safari and the Celebrate Fairfax site's menus don't get along, and IE for Mac only barely deals. I blame the site's JavaScript. :P)
