Tonight, Nathan and I have probably done more housecleaning/organizing than any time since I moved in. :) The living room is spotless, the kitchen is getting there, both bookcases are in my bedroom, and some stuff is on them! One large box of mine has been unpacked, other items and boxes temporarily moved about.. soon, my stuff will be in the places it was intended months ago! Not only that, but I'll put up my closet hardware so I can actually hang my clothes, not to mention get more shelf space!

There are two totally unrelated reasons for all this:
1) I don't want to leave the country for several months with my stuff still piled in boxes around the house. :P
2) Nathan's bringing a lady friend to visit Saturday, and potentially ask out sometime over the course of the day, and he wants the house to make a good impression. Thus, he's been cleaning and straightening, and I'll help by getting my stuff out of the hall and kitchen. Some to my room, some to the office, and some just back into storage 'cause I won't need it here. :)

This album, Ear Plugs 50¢, is really really good. It was recorded live at the 9:30 Club in DC in 1999, shortly after they broke their contract with Epic. Rock on. :)

Traffic this morning sucked for me, but probably not as much as for the people involved in the accident that shut down Route 1 N between Telegraph and the FCPkway, leaving two dead and four injured, last I heard. (I get within a block of Rte 1 and Telegraph on my way to work, bypassing Rte 1 by way of a neighborhood through-street. After fifteen minutes to go perhaps a mile, most of that waiting to get all of halfway down the through-street, I U-turned in the middle of the street, and headed back a longer way that got me to work much faster--total travel, about 30 minutes for the net 3.5 miles. :P

Work was all right--got about 60 pages of Sum of All Fears read. ;) Also, during a break, I called the dentist to find out that yes, they're open on Veterans' Day, no; they don't have any spots open on that day; but yes, they'll call if one opens.

After work, headed to Petsmart, got crickets, superworms, and a Bearded Dragon book; walked over to Best Buy, looked around, poked through a computer-design workstation to slap together a really nice HP Pavilion setup for about $2K, closed out of that and went home, stopping for toiletries, gas and oil on the way.

Now, on to more house cleaning and some food, probably not in that order. :)

Ooh.. touché.

Speaking of death, hehehe.

And on disability, a surprisingly sober
