[23:50] nickgunkle: I bought this awesome book...... Build Your Own Laser, Phaser, Ion Cannon and Other Space-Age Projects
[23:50] CU Stryker: i've read that book, plus another one by the same author. :)
[23:50] nickgunkle: Score.
[23:50] nickgunkle: Working on the portable pain field generator, cause it requires the fewest parts.
[23:51] CU Stryker: w00t! Iannini also has "Electronic Gadgets for the Evil Genius : 21 Build-It-Yourself Projects" and the out-of-print "Build Your Own Working Fiberoptic Infrared and Laser Space-Age Projects" [the other one I read]
[23:51] nickgunkle: Ooooooh, the first one sounds hella better than the second.
[23:52] nickgunkle: http://www.plans-kits.com/index1.html
[23:52] nickgunkle: Much more interesting shit.
[23:52] nickgunkle: If you really feel like taking out a few dozen SWAT officers with you. :-P
[23:54] CU Stryker: dude, that site's awesome
[23:54] nickgunkle: Like the Anarchist's Cookbook, only for sale and more dangerous.
I'm curious how some of my boxes got significantly wet.. they were in an enclosed trailer, then my parents house for several months, then my truck, then indoor climate-controlled storage in Manassas for several months, then in my truck for a month or two, before coming to rest at this house. Where in that sequence could several of the boxes have gotten wet enough to ruin a few books and mildew the boxes? :\ Only thing I can think of is some sort of leak in the storage facility, however unlikely.. :P
I now have all of my books unpacked, and in very limited order across four different bookcases; also unpacked is a wide and random assortment of other items that've been in boxes for a long time; a good bit of stuff is still in boxes. Some will go into storage as I don't need it while living here; the rest will eventually find a place in my house. Installing the closet hardware would help, too. :)
