Cheddarwurst, dogs, PointlessPolicy, Cue!
Aug. 7th, 2003 02:52 amCheddarwurst, despite its disturbing name, is tasty. Smoked sausage with embedded Wisconsin cheddar cheese, which when heated, optionally condimented, and wrapped in a tortilla, makes a quick and tasty snack/meal. :)
Work was entertaining, in that Wednesday is clinic day, meaning a constant parade of dogs through my department. Two of note were an 8-week-old St. Bernard puppy weighing in at 45 pounds who was an adorable puffball, and a German Shepherd / Welsh Corgi mix--I guessed the mix before asking the owner! :D
New pointless corporate policy at work: When both pet blocks (Kaytee Forti-Diet Mouse & Rat food, extruded pellets) and hamster/gerbil food are given to hamsters/gerbils, as was already policy, they must be in separate bowls. They are both dry foods, replaced simultaneously as necessary, and exact quantities are not controlled. Why another bowl?
Got off work around 10:30, went home, changed, went back out to Cue. First person I ran into was Kate! This was pleasant surprise, and we chatted much througout the evening. :) Wandering a bit more yielded Becky, Bob, and Ted--who I only learned was coming by reading his comment to a
cue_club post in the few minutes I was home after work. I took his place in a game of pool and only won against Becky by default, as usual. ;)
Danced a bit, bid Kate adieu, danced some more, and then plopped down with Becky/Bob/Heather until the club closed, then for a few minutes outside. Apparently I remind Heather of another Sagittarian, so she briefly interrogated me about various associations and interests, and concluded I was very different and much more grounded than the other. :D On the way out, discovered the reason for the odd route MapQuest prescribed me to get to Cue--a one-way intersection (123&236) makes it straightforward to go out, but coming in would require a different intersection and a loopback.)
~80 entries behind, since 1:34pm. :P
