Official day at work

Worked all afternoon; first day I've gotten to wear a Petsmart shirt and nametag, and thus officially allowed to help customers, which was pretty cool. Also had some regular tasks like cleaning half a dozen of the fishtanks (alternating with helping people), and taking care of feeding and watering all the birds--my shirt and shoes have splatters of hand-feeding formula all over them--and small animals for closing. Including cleanup and whatnot, ended up getting out an hour later than the scheduled 10:30. (More pay!) I also learned that the 30% off day at the store is Dec3 and 4, not Dec8, so I'll have to mention the bird to mom in pretty short order. ;)
Christina visited mid-afternoon, too. And I grabbed a frozen dinner from Shoppers on my break.. should probably start bringing my own dinner, it'd be cheaper. And wearing shoes appropriate for being on my feet for 9hrs straight. And (and and) I was bitten by both a store hamster and a customer's conure (bird), both drawing blood. Sucky!

Also, I'm going to get to learn to drive the forklift at work! Woo!

And we at work realized that the holiday party being at 7:30pm Sunday will be.. interesting. The store closes its doors at 6pm on Sunday, giving us 1.5hrs to get everything closing-related done before high-tailing it over to Great American Steakhouse (I think).. and I work that day through close. :P
