Having just seen The Hunt for Red October again (I'm not sure when I last saw it), it just placed itself in the set of my top movies ever. It's just incredible.. intriguing, fascinating, captivating, exciting, holds you and doesn't let go... damn. Damn.

Whoa..

You know those rubber blasting mats I mentioned that are being used to shield the blasting at the Duffield Hall site? The ones that got flipped by the blast last week sometime?

The blast mats are sections of tires strung together with steel cable. They are seven by fourteen feet and weigh 2 tons each. It still takes quite a few to keep a lid on it! Regards --Bob

Y'know that test that I got back with a 45/100 (mean 58, SD 22)?

I looked at the scoring more closely, and noticed that while problem 2 says 15/35 inside, it only says 5/35 outside! Thus my score is a 55/100, much closer to the mean! (Not only that, but we can redo the test and if we improve, get our score averaged!)
