Well, that was.

Went with Neal, Katia, and Becca in Becca's car, which I drove, to Elmira College, for the Live concert!

The opener was a band called Citizen Cope (I think), who sucked almost beyond measure. Slow, uncreative, uninteresting, and repetitive.

Then Live came on, for just over an hour.. but it was a good hour. They played some new, some old, and closed with Overcome (with a serious dose of hokey when they draped an American flag on the lead singer during it).. to a half-filled but "sold out" gymnasium. We learned afterward that the show was -free- to full-time Elmira College students, $20 to the general public.. guess they earmarked too few for the public. Free! And it was still far from a packed room!

Do people who dance at concerts by throwing their arms in the air and punching/pointing at the stage realize how ridiculous they look?

I know an odd girl..

I learned that, in addition to all the other odd things I know about her, Becca--at age 21, and in college--has no debts to her name, and already has a will.

Today's lesson:

Run some sort of test on old rechargeable alkaline batteries before attempting to use them in a PDA.

I charged some up, backed up my Visor, put in those batteries, and zap! Screen did funny things and shut off, and wouldn't come back on properly with new batteries.

Put in new regular batteries, hard reset, restored the memory, and I was fine.. but yeah, not so much with the old rechargeable alkalines.

WTH?

I'm having problems seeing any updates I make to my own journal.. even logged out of and into LJ, restarted IE, and I still have issues seeing updates. LJ db issue? My issue?
