Warning: bitchy post

In no particular order:

1) Sling Blade was ok, but kind of depressing, not pleasantly resolved, good performance from Billy Bob Thornton, but unbelieveable performance from Dwight Yoakam as the drunken s.o.b.
2) There's a loud sorority formal/dance party downstairs that we're not welcome to have anything to do with, the bathroom is overrun by drunken prissy girls, the music (loud through my floor) sucks, there were dates urinating on the ground behind the house rather than use the bathroom, and the stairs are sticky with spilled drinks.
3) There's apparently a leak in the heating system of my truck such that coolant vapor is infiltrating the ventilation system, even when it's turned off.
4) There was a gaggle of stupid, loud girls at Hollywood video. (There was also a girl who learned she had ~$70 in overdue fines, which almost had her in tears, I think. Heh.)
5) Three of the four gas pumps at the Sunoco downtown didn't work.

Because of the above, Katia and I feel generally crappy.

However, in an attempt to rectify this, we picked up more tasty peach salsa and Short Circuit. :)

With excitement like this, who is needing enemas?

Watched Short Circuit, which is as good as I remembered, had some Doritos eXtreme Zesty Sour Cream & Cheddar (extra thick and crunchy), and the party's over! Woo! (Even better, a cop dropped by to try to shut it down! Not sure what happened with that. :)

Not only that, but..

holy holy shit.

So I was looking at the Built Snowboards page this afternoon (following the Swap Shop run) with Katia, and she asked a rather non-innocuous question.. "Would you like a snowboard for your birthday?"
I gaped and sputtered and the like, and allowed as how I couldn't ask for that, it's too much money.. so she amended it to birthday and xmas, and pointed out I wouldn't be asking for it, and that spending lots money on other people (but not herself) makes her happy, and that it actually made her life easier because she wouldn't have to try to figure out what to get me, that this would definitely be something I'd want and use...
Her only regret is that it wouldn't be a surprise (oh darn) and that she couldn't get me anything more (oh darn again).

I gots me a damn fine woman, eh? In more ways than one. =)

Post-party

3 broken windows, trash and drinks and messes everywhere. I do hope they were contracted to clean up and pay for any damages.
