The Cornell Civil Liberties Union (CCLU) has gotten a speaker to come to Cornell eaerly next month...

Sure, they're open source, but they're slow to load.
And, I doubt CompuServe will get much of anywhere with trying to license out the GIF filetype, given its current prevalence.

Note: I was wrong about CompuServe, it's Unisys that's being the bitch. (See comments)

I recall I mentioned someone before who causd problems by having several thousand friends listed.. just heard of one ([livejournal.com profile] gigglecam) who has created other interesting issues--on 9/11-9/13, she had 300+, 100+, and 200+ entries for each of those days, respectively, and apparently LJ doesn't like displaying more than 200 for a calendar day. (She regularly has 20-50 posts in a day, too.)

That's just plain ridiculous, even if her job/life is being on camera and on computer.
