R.I.P., Bruno Kreidler

Update, 2/20/04: Due to Nathan's unfamiliarity with my ferrets, I learned (when she was taken to the vet) that it was Bruno who died, not Sylvie. Needless to say, this came as a surprise.

In less upbeat news, one of my ferrets, Bruno, passed away sometime New Year's Day. This is pretty surprising, as he's always been the healthy, active, rambunctious one, no health problems to date, though he was on the old side for a ferret (about 5). I'm sure I'd be more upset if I were at home, instead of having Nathan deal with it 10,000 miles away, but it's still sad.. no more Bruno. :-\

She's been sick off and on, and she's on the old side for a ferret--about 5--but she had a good life, and was always the soft friendly cuddly one. I'm sure I'd be more upset if I were at home, instead of having Nathan deal with it 10,000 miles away, but it's still sad.. no more Sylvie. :-\

hehe, I can just envision the sliding. my friend's yorkie does that but forgets he has no brakes and usually hits the wall butt first

Well, ferrets can't get themselves going that fast, so they need some extra help. :D

They're much more designed for tunneling and sidestepping than running quickly. :)

for some reason sidestepping gives me an image of ferrets on roller skates with legs going in oppposite directions
