Tearing up floors is noisy.
Jan. 11th, 2003 02:11 pmThe contractors are currently in the next couple rooms, tearing up first the floor edging, then the carpet (family room) and linoleum (kitchen, front hall, powder room), and then the thin wood underlayer--that last part's noisy. The table saw outside used to cut the new wood panels to fit is loud, too.
Currently, all the furniture and stuff from the aforementioned rooms is in either the new room (on the section that's already been floored) or the living room. (Note that that means no kitchen table/chairs and no TV. :P) The new room is almost finished--all that's left is finishing the floor, hooking up the heating ducts and electricity in the basement, and a few finishing touches. Looks nice. :)
