Saturday, 5pm: Worked 7-3 with Jenn, alternated between boring and too busy. Sold lots of fish and several small mammals. Saw many adorable dogs (including a long-haired dachshund) and an impressive bird (Moluccan cockatoo, big powder-white bird with a huge crest extended when excited; very friendly--would go to anyone's arm and sit there pleasantly. :) Ross told me I could bring back in the dangerous bird toy and exchange it for another one, and he'd approve it. :) And Susan, the store director, bought lunch for everyone! That was a pleasant surprise at lunch time--when none of the half-dozen of us in the break room at the time had eaten anything for breakfast. :) (So I thanked her for it, later. :)

Christina came over when I got off, and we went to Bad Ass Coffee (in Manassas, just opened). Good coffee, good prices, nice atmosphere, fun attitude; live music from a guy doing acoustic Pearl Jam, Clapton, Lennon/McCartney, ballad-type stuff. Decent, not great. (while there, met two adorable Jack Russell terriers--one thin and deaf, the other reminiscent of a stocky fire log with a tiny head. :) And the weather was gorgeous, from a non-wintry standpoint! Then home, where I visited my bird, got a call from Nathan wherein I informed him I was running late--supposed to be there by 5--called Phill back to explain my plans, and now I'll change, shave, go over there, eat, hang out, and head to Gtown for the reunion. :)

Sunday, 3:30am: Went to Nathan's, was quite impressed by the cleanliness of his townhouse, had dinner. Decided to drive into Georgetown rather than take Metro; did so with little difficulty and parked in a lot (for $15) a couple blocks from the bar (Garrett's). Walked to the bar, arrived before 7:30, were the 3rd and 4th people to arrive--Bryan and Rachana being the organizers and thus first. :) The room we had reserved looked kind of small for the 140+ attendees, and indeed proved to be too small. To make a long evening short.. many people I knew, many I recognized but forgot names, many I didn't really know in the first place. Name tags came in very handy. Much good conversation had, many pictures taken--a bit over 30; 25 of them will be developed soon, scanned and posted eventually. Many of the girls we graduated with have become even more attractive over the past five years; the scenery was quite nice. :) A group of people in Santa suits wandered through occasionally, on a "Santa Stumble" bar crawl. Floorspace-wise, we started with the one upstairs room/bar; spilled out into the central foyer area when that started getting crowded; spilled into the opposing room/bar when its private party ended at 10; spilled into the "terrace" dining area when we were allowed to. My throat is already sore from yelling over music, I wonder if I'll be able to talk for work. :P

At the end, was hanging out mostly with Nathan, Phill, and Pat Thompson; after leaving the bar around 1 we headed down the street to Johnny Rocket's for food; returned to the bar to pick up Nathan's credit card. To the NathanMobile; drove Pat and Phill back to Phill's truck at the Franconia/Springfield Metro; drove us back to Nathan's place; I drove me back home. It's now 3:30, I have to be at work at 8, so I'll get under four hours of sleep. Damn, I'm tired. LJ catchup can wait; I've a backlog from 3am Saturday. (Oh yeah, it's a weekend--only 60 posts, including two of mine just now. :) Saturday comics to be read, too.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] blistex, I ran into Adele right before we left.. she noticed my nametag (which said Scott, followed by "skreidle") and said she read my LJ, from your friends page. :) (For those of you who aren't versed on the situation, Adele is a former roommate of Erin's, and that's all I know. :)
