Took my macaw to the vet--Dr. Dove :)--who checked her over, took blood and stool samples to check for Psittacosis and Giardia, and that's that. Test results back in about a week.
She didn't much like being wrapped in a towel to immobilize her, and I got bitten when I got too close. :P Probably didn't like a toenail getting clipped short enough to bleed for the sample, either. :(
I opted not to get her sexed today, as doing it through the vet's office to a lab would cost about $100, and I know I can get it done directly with a different lab for about $25. (Between the visit and two tests, I was already out $160.)
