Dec. 10th, 2002 01:04 pmTo the postoffice, to mail 4 boxes to various family around the country for $67 of postage on my mom's bank card. ($37 of it was Express Mailing a birthday/xmas box that has to get to FL by Thursday.
To Hecht's, where I exchanged my mom's almost-correct gift for the correct one.
To Petsmart, where I failed to find a clip for the giant seed sprays mom got for my macaw. Got a large mineral block. Wrote down my employee number so I can use it for discounts. Got the brand and model of my macaw cage, so I can request a new door lock for it.
To Petco, where I found they didn't have any better spray clips. Visited the birds, instructed a curious woman on the care and training of large birds and how Petco didn't do a very good job of it. They do have a nice-looking aquarium section, though.
To Exxon, where I got gas, and discovered my hood latch is getting rusty. Had to pull out a screwdriver to pop it into the right position for latching shut. :P
My motorcycle wear is in at the store, but I can't have it officially until xmas. :)
Update: After appropriate oiling and beating with a hammer, the latch works better than it has in months. :)

Date: 2002-12-10 11:42 am (UTC)Jes works with a woman who has a 15-yr old battery in her Volvo. When the car doesn't start, she beats the battery with a stick, and then it starts. She keeps a stick in her car just for this purpose.
