The reason my drives are currently arranged how they are is so that they CD burner can burn a) quickly and b) without interfering with the speed of other operations.
And yet, my computer is stuttering, speed-wise, and has so far taken 16 minutes to burn 60% of 472MB when I told it 24X. (That should, by all rights, take a bit over two minutes to burn 650MB of data.) The cursor isn't even moving smoothly, and playing any mp3s at the same time is right out.
End result: 472MB in 24m20. That's 331KB/sec on average, which works out to 2.2X. Not 24, like it claimed it was doing. Fucker.
