AIM fixed the hole that allowed the DeadAIM patch in its v5beta release.
Update: Never mind, a Google search quickly turned up a newer patch. :)
DeadAIM 2 beta: Neat! It comes as a Win2K MSI (MS installer), with available installers for earlier version of windows; it allows for transparency of buddylist and message windows, logging, additional alerts, patches itself into the My AIM menu, adds more options.. it's nifty. :)
(Might be a little buggy, though. Be sure to save your buddy list and totally uninstall AIM and DeadAIM before upgrading--that seemed to work best for me.)

Date: 2002-08-27 09:09 pm (UTC)And I agree with TheNinjaKitten that Trillian is pretty cool. My only beef with it is that it's only friendly one user per computer, so the fact that my husband uses it means it's no fun for me to. And he whines about the length of my buddy lists cluttering up his window.
He's just jealous. ;)
