I just got around to changing my address and phone number with various creditors and corporations.. hopefully, caught most or all of them in time to prevent mail risking getting lost at Seal. Most of them I could do online, which was nice. :)
To change, I had:
10 credit cards
2 banks
1 university
1 phone company
1 direct buying club
1 airline
1 engineering organization
Several magazine subscriptions
I cancelled one credit card, the first one I got in college, originally sporting a $600 limit and a high APR; it's apparently up to $1600 now though I haven't used it in years. One credit card wouldn't let me in online, and needs a daytime call. One credit card needs a daytime call or snailmail. One I successfully changed, but they have a fantastic rate--even better than my previous 9.74%--so I'll probably make a transfer later.
One bank doesn't need changing, the other needs a daytie call.
The magazine don't really need updating, since I let my subscriptions lapse.
The phone company needs a daytime call.
The other nine were successfully changed. :)
