skreidle | Moderately brief weekend update

Friday: I think I packed some stuff into trailer after motorcycle.. it's been a long couple days.

Saturday: Packed up computer, cleaned and packed up ferret cage (putting them in a cat carrier with food/water/bedding/litter box), packed up everything but pet stuff and camera, took everything downstairs to the foyer.
Packed more stuff in trailer until it got too dark and/or I'd packed just about everything but the plastic bags of clothes; this took until about 9pm. Scrapped idea of going home Saturday.

Saturday night: House got rather depressingly boring. Jen, Mitchell, Justin, Ben, Nick, and Bryan had all moved out, Jon and Rob were absent, and my room had no books or computer in it. So sad!

Sunday morning: Finished packing truck and trailer, ended up being ready to leave around noon. It took a good 9 hours to drive home, including taking a wrong turn around Harrisburg, PA and missing the last turn to stay on 15 near Leesburg, VA.. however, I did meet a very nice doberman named Cody at a gas station, and lots of people got to meet my ferrets at rest stops 'cause I took them out and carried them around. :)
Dad parked the truck/trailer 'cause I was having issues backing it up beside a right-hand curb; I got to ride in his Mustang (which now has a 4-speed transmission on a 290ci V8) to dinner--parents/Shauna/Steph/Matt/Brendan went to Don Pablo's (Mexican) for dinner. Dinner was less hot than it should've been but it was late and the kitchen wanted to close. :P

Then I chatted with Shauna for an hour as she played with her new iBook, and I attempted to figure out logistics of moving stuff in from the trailer and possibly using UHaul storage space vs. garage/bedroom/basement/attic, and how to tell my mom I have the motorcycle.. fun fun. :P

And now, alas, I'm on my dad's computer because mine isn't set up yet.
