Compaq, man, do they ever suck!

I knew Compaq was bad about upgrades--namely, you basically can't upgrade much of your hardware without buying direct from Compaq--but it seems you can't even get a BIOS update for free, after you get a limited one in the first place! And the update is limited, too! (In particular, hard drive sizes--some Presario BIOSes don't allow drives larger than 8GB, and the update allows up to 20GB or 40GB--there were conflicting replies.)
