Birthday present from Matt&Steph: M. Julian leather jacket from Wilson Leather.. soft black leather and scads of pockets. Got gloves to match from mom, too :) Oh, S&M also got me a 1978 'Pages of Time: A Nostalgia News Report'--national&world news, and magazine ads and current prices and such from 1978.

Got a burned copy of Apocalyptica - Cult from Matt, too, and he's getting me a copy of Rune--Viking game based on the QuakeIII engine--the sort of game I'll be able to play now! =)

blerg. Have to go back to Cornell in the morning. I like it at home..

didn't hear back from Ali, either, after leaving a message this afternoon. :P

i tried talking the 'rents into getting me a leather jacket, to which my mother replied, "phill, you're going to be getting a leather bomber jacket in less than a year."

S&M are apparently regular customers of Wilson Leather, so they got some sort of fabulous deal on this jacket.. it retails for ~$250, and they apparently got it for less than $50.. in new condition. Damned if I know how--it's the one Matt wears, too, and the one they're getting a few other people :)

*grins* absolutely.. I should be home around.. hmm.. the 13th at the earliest, 16th at the latest? And in town till Dec27-31 when I'll be in Philly for an APhiO National Convention.. and hopefully I'll then be back home till the 15th or so, but may have to go back much earlier for a design team I'm on. But at any rate, yes, I definitely want to see my Ali again--more than once, this break :)

i have this urge to ask you for a ride up to philly since pere lives there and i was planning on seeing him after christmas anyways. of course, that would mean multiple hours in a car with me, and i'd never subject you to such horrors... well, at least unwillingly. ;)
