There's this girl, who posted a large (640x480) picture in a recent post in a community we're both in. I requested she resize it, since some journals (like mine) get stretched out of shape by images that wide (and that some people have bandwidth issues, but I didn't bring that up). She refused to do so, and I allowed as how it didn't really matter, as it would scroll off my friends page in a day.

- Then she attacked my manners (which, to this point, had been quite acceptable, for someone with a sense of humor) and got rude.
- She also made a comment that implied she forgot she'd posted in a community, and thought it was her own journal, and I called her on it lightly. She got huffy about that, too.
- Some comment was made about her school schedule (finals being now, for a summer term), and she explained she was at DeVry--and would make a million dollars more than me, and was way more mature.
- Oh, and she said I should get another user pic, like a dog. Not sure what insult was meant by that.

And the punchline? She then makes a show of deleting her "rude" comments and being apologetic for fighting in the community, and goes off to slam me in her own journal.

The funny part? My comments looks even more reasonable without her side to back it up. Heh.

Shit, man, and I was being -nice- that time, at the beginning. And I kept it pretty civil, unlike the other post..

Wrong Funny Part!

Assuming to make a million dollars more than anyone after coming out of DeVry is the funniest my-school-is-better-than-your-school claim. The maturity principle was also worth a laugh, seeing as how I read (skimmed) all lj-documented exchanges therein (except for the deleted ones). What a winner... ::snurglesnort::

Normally I'd say something about how it's not so great to "draw things out" or "make a big deal over such a trivial incident," but right now...I can't help but think how funny (albeit rude and immature) it would be just to point out that you probably weigh a lot less than her. Plus, if she's really 5'7"...

Not all redheads are cute. Especially after they start talking!

Why are you mixed up in such a community to begin with? (only random curiosity)

Doesn't DeVry offer correspondence courses? I think my dad took one of those on TV repair a couple decades ago. :)

And yeah, that maturity was -right- up there. ;)

I did refrain from commenting (except to my girlfriend, who agreed) that she looks like a redheaded caught-in-the-headlights cow in that overly large picture...

I know not all redheads are cute, or even nice to be around, but I've really got a thing for the hair color (and the complexion and eye colors that usually go with it), so they'll always catch my eye.
