What an excellent evening.

(All of the following with Katia)

First: Went to see Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at Cornell's Center for the Performing Arts.. I knew nothing about the play beforehand, and this was an incredible performance.. I gave it a standing ovation--which I decided shortly into the second act, at during the face-off between Brick and Big Daddy, if you've seen the play.

Second: Went to Chapter House, where I had a Birkspear Bluebird Bitter and a Victory Fsomething Bier, and ran into Pat Davis (no surprise), Phil Chen (big surprise), and Vlad (with Phil, but not a surprise since he's a student.)

Third: Stopped by my lab, was surprised to find a professor there, showed Katia various projects in progress and some toys in the lab, and got demos of some of the other projects that required more previous knowledge than I had. :)

Fourth: Came back to the house, ran into Oscar, Rachel (Simon's sister), Rachel's friend, and Alan; made sandwiches. Heard Nick Seeley was in town and in the house. (It's seriously Random Alumni Return weekend here.. Osman and Alvin are in town, too.)

Fifth: Got visited by Nick in my room.

tj drama did that show our senior year, me thinks. enjoyed it muchly then, and prolly woulda liked it when you saw it, too.

Here, I've seen several shows with comp tickets because I worked on scenery/lighting.. paid for Cat, because I wanted to see it Friday (comps no good for Fri/Sat nights).
