Learn that indeed my morning intuition was correct, my paternal grandfather died last night, and they want to know if I'll be able to make it home and to Blacksburg for the funeral Saturday. Remain strangely unaffected, despite liking the man and regretting that I didn't call him for his last birthday. Finish bit of paperwork.
