Thanks! :)
I've got about 65 of his songs, actually. Liked Cliffs of Dover, decided to check out some of his other stuff, and liked a lot of that, too. :) (Not all of it, though--some of it is too elevator/lounge-type for my tastes.)

They could've survived a plane. But not tons of burning jet fuel on steel.

Seems that way...

I saw something on a TLC-type show several years ago about an experimental fuel additive that allowed jet fuel to be pumped and fuel-injected normally, but if exposed to air on a large scale (wing shears off, for example) then it gelled. Guess they haven't implemented that, for whatever reason(s).

Cost, that would be the only reason.

Can you find me a reference so I can mention it to [livejournal.com profile] infojunkies?

Or degradation of fuel quality or fuel lines, gumming of engine, etc.

I don't even know where to begin looking that up (and, I'm lazy. :)

Well, that's the difference between rumors and information...I like to get references on these rumors.

Well, I know it was developed, as I saw it on a TLC-style show way back when.. Unfortunately, I have no further information.
