You were gone?

This is directed to all the people who don't post for a while and then come back and apologize for not posting.. not to sleight anyone, but dude, I didn't notice. If I sat and thought about each individual poster, I'd probably be able to conclude who hadn't posted lately--but really, when I have 68 Friends, and 19 of those are communities, resulting in easily 30+ posts/day on my Friends page, I just don't notice when an individual misses posting for a while.

(However, that doesn't mean I haven't noticed when I think about it. I haven't seen much lately from benzado, berserker, celtarsa, darkestdaz, dragondream, eitri, nich, pendragon, ragdoll13, scathach, smrandom, theninjakitten, theredwonder, or tonyz21.)

Anyone else feel similarly?

I like to assume my absence isn't noted, since sometimes I hardly notice it myself, but personally, I find myself apologizing because while you may not care or notice when I don't post, everyone else seems to! My dad seriously called me Thursday, asking if I was okay because I hadn't posted to LiveJournal.

Well, I'd also imagine your dad has many fewer people on his Friends page. I'm just saying that as a general case, I don't notice, given all the other traffic on my Friends page; but, if I actually think about individuals, I know who's been quiet.

Well, I figure the hardcore LJ users will find some way to post.. but most of these people have some other explanation:

Just don't post very often: benzado, eitri, nich, scathach

Never really post: celtarsa

Have been very busy or something: ragdoll13, tonyz21

Seem to have forgotten they have LJ (or, possibly, have been very busy): berserker, darkestdaz, dragondream, pendragon, smrandom, theninjakitten, theredwonder

(I think I'll email that last bunch and see what's up with them :)
