What is up with IE (or LJ, since I've only seen it happen in LJ) loading a page fine and dandy, and then 10 or 20 seconds later deciding "no, I didn't load it" and snapping to the "Page not found" page, losing whatever I'd typed?

IE uses a cached copy. also been discussed in Lj_dev -- I'll ferret out the talkread link.

though it looks to be a different issue.

mine does it too - on talkpost and talkread, not the friends view - though it merely refreshes the page. Sometimes I would think I accidentally hit ctrl+R, but not THAT many times... It's HIGHLY annoying.

Someone else suggested the possibility of a proxy somewhere between me and LJ, which could be caching it before I've ever seen it once.. then showing me the cached copy followed by the failed load.
