So, the snow received last night was extensive, but not very impressive to look at--at least, not in the parking lot outside my window. Maybe 1-2" accumulation on the parking lot itself, but I blame the wind for that--my car sported 3-5", drifted and overhung, with a bottom layer of ice due to the pre-snow sleet. (Thank goodness Hertz put a scraper/brush in the car!) I briefly got stuck on one side of a speed bump in the parking lot, but got over that in short order, and drove my light-weight, front-wheel-drive self to work. On the two miles of 25 I use to get from Arapahoe to County Line, I passed two spun-out SUVs, one two-car accident involving a Metro (or similar) with wrecked rear-left end, wheel/axle askew, plus one abandoned car, and one other abandoned vehicle along the way away from 25. The ice and snow certainly made for interesting driving, and I never through I'd be thankful for ruts in the driving surface, but ruts from packed snow/ice down to pavement were welcome. Overall, I was fine, but I hear there are a -lot- of out-of-town drivers who trust their SUV's 4WD far too much. :P
Class was all right--only four of us in this two-day, two-class session; one a new ADIC instructor and the other two Canadian Unisys techs--why the hell does Apple acknowledge "Unisys" as a word?. Went to lunch with the Canadians and Jim--same instructor as last time--to Chipotle, stopping along the way at Jim's house for a minute, and on the way back at an auto parts store.
Class ran until after 1700, at which point I returned to the hotel and partook of the open bar and free food for 90 minutes or so, chatting with the bartender and a couple of locals, before parting ways and retiring to my room for the evening. Wore my kilt all day, which spawned conversation during class, during breaks, and at the hotel. :)
If I get to the office around 0830 tomorrow morning (before the 0900 class), free Krispy Kreme!
I received a piece of spam earlier with the subject "perflect girbls with perfect asfses"--which I'm assuming means "Perfect gerbils with perfect assfaces." I'm not too sure what that entails, but it's certainly intriguing.

I'm unfamiliar with Gaiman's Sandman series, but I know several folks who read my LJ will appreciate: These are a collection of Dr. Martens boots designed as if each character from Neil Gaiman's Sandman series would have worn them.
