Oct. 9th, 2004 10:18 amRode down to Fredericksburg in horrible traffic on 95S--to be expected, I know, but what pissed me off most was that for the entire length of the HOV section of 95 between Lorton and almost-Fredericksburg going south, there isn't a single entrance from the main lanes into HOV. (Phill claims there's one around Dale City, but I think he's lying. ;)

skeeter800's apartment, met the three adorable kittens she's fostering, hung out with a couple of her friends, and eventually we went out to dinner, ending up at Applebee's around 19ish. I left F'burg around 20, deciding to take the faster 95S-295-64E route to Norfolk, seeing as it was already dark, and I'd been pretty comfortable at highway speed thanks to my new tank bag and ear plugs. (However, I'm still looking forward to trying out the windscreen lip that should be arriving soon.)
Got to Phill's for the party around 2230, walked on in, and had a grand old time--lot of cool people at the party, and a variety of tasty food and beverage. Watched Kung Pow: Enter the Fist again. Crashed on the couch for the night. Didn't join Phill at 08 for his crew workout, because then I'd be dead. (And as I type this, Phill says I should've joined them because they were one man short of an eight, but again, I'd be dead.)
Soon, I'll head over togingerdc9 and zellto_1971's in VA Beach for hanging out and lunch, and then I'll decide if I'm heading back to NoVA this afternoon (and riding to the airshow in Bealeton with SCRCFX folks in the morning) or staying for -tonight's- party at Phill's, and heading north in the morning, directly to the airshow. Hmmm.
