Fun license plates today: LL YLO on a lil' yellow car, and UNIX GOD on a plate sporting a Linux-shark. Best license plate I've seen lately: YLW TNKA on a bright yellow Nissan Xterra--totally a yellow Tonka truck. :D
Today's schedule was originally to start with an 8am meeting at the office, then GSA with JR at 11. Then the meeting was cancelled, GSA was transferred over to Scott B at 09, then Vienna to pick up a new drive delivery, then Pentagon at 11. However, GSA wouldn't be ready until 11, so Pentagon was moved up to 09, and I went in to the office first to wait on the drive delivery. Unfortunately, it seems the drive order wasn't completed properly, so it wasn't coming, and I headed in to Pentagon by Metro. I arrived with enough time to get to the waiting area before Scott B called from outside, saying he was done. I went back out.
Then, we walked over to his one-day-old black Volvo S40 with the works, all black leather, in-dash navigation, very very nice. In to GSA, where we arrived (and called up) just in time to miss our contact who'd left for lunch, so we went to Subway. Afterward, we spent less than an hour uncrating the two modules, and lo, we were done for the day. And before 1500 on this particular Friday, there was almost no heavy traffic, all the way home. (!)
However, traffic on 66W around 18-19 sucked a lot, and it took me about an hour to get to my parents', where I had dinner before heading up to Misty & Chris's for the movie night. Plenty of folks there, just about all of whom I'd met before. Around 21 they started Dark Side of the Rainbow. Three consecutive runs-through of the CD was enough to complete the movie, with far too much correlation to be entirely coincidence, we maintain.
Hung out quite a while longer, upstairs and then down, until about 0230 or 03, at which time I saddled up and rode my motorcycle home.
Tomorrow, I am/was scheduled to join Esther and some of her friends at the Cornell/Towson game, but there's a 60% chance of t-storms tomorrow, none of us really want to go in the rain, and thus we probably won't be going--an hour-plus is a long way to drive to get wet watching a game none of us really care about. Decision at 09, after not enough sleep, which may influence my decision. ;)
