[livejournal.com profile] tittergrrl, in defense of the French. Well said.

Arrived at Alchemy around 2150 through a lot of bad drivers (due to weather), parked easily (due to weather), met [livejournal.com profile] devil_panda outside by chance, and we split the 2-for-1 entry fee again. Inside, I ran into the usual and semi-usual--[livejournal.com profile] lanikei, [livejournal.com profile] jude, [livejournal.com profile] anizee, [livejournal.com profile] lilscotchgirl. [livejournal.com profile] learath, and, in a very nice but not unexpected appearance, [livejournal.com profile] elf! Also present without LJs (that I know of) was James, as well as Chad--that annoying-to-everyone, kind of round kid from TJ, who apparently can't hold a beat to save his life.

Over the next several hours, I danced my ass off, egged on by Cosmo when I was slacking--though he thought everyone should be dancing more, he of the Rivers of Sweat 'cause he gets so into dancing. :) (I helped him and Susie carry his DJ equipment to his car--the equipment he didn't get to use, unfortunately, due to the weather outside his outdoor booth.) My lights were borrowed by at least three or four people, and in tracking them down again, I met a very nice girl named Laura.

When Alchemy shut down around 0230, I joined Laura, her brother Charles, and their new friend Sam on a jaunt elsewhere in the city. (We were supposed to be accompanied by another vehicle of people, but they either decided not to follow or got lost, and went home.) We ended at The Diner in Adams Morgan, where I had a delightfully-named Croque and Dagger, which was a croque-monsieur with gruyère cheese. Hung out there until about 0415 or 0430, got contact info, then left the city via 14th St and came home. (I don't like driving in DC, incidentally. As much as the residents claim its streets are on a logical grid, they're lying. ;)

Friday night, Midsummer Party at [livejournal.com profile] gothiccripple and [livejournal.com profile] beastinme's! Can't get too crazy, though--TJ Crew Alumni Row at 1130 Saturday! (Unfortunately, that party means missing Bagel's birthday party, but I'd been planning on the former party a lot longer.)

Next Saturday is Freak Day @ King's Dominion, which I may attend--however, Christine Lange (TJ '97, whom I haven't seen in at least a year and a half, if not seven years) is performing in a One Act play that evening. Shall see.

This song is rather nice, musically speaking.

Between 0600 and 1200, I had a dream involving Laura (not [livejournal.com profile] preciouslaura, and I need some way to differentiate since they're both Laura C), who came to visit my house, except I was living with my parents in Manassas. I think we were there to move some stuff out, but got distracted by a stray cat in the house who came to see us. Coincidentally, this cat was a calico like Puck, except this one had blue eyes, one of which had gotten scratched recently in a fight. Later, the cat (or perhaps it was another cat) was dark grey with yellow eyes.

At 1200, alarm went off.

Between 1200 and 1235, I had a dream involving a visit here from Ederlyn, who requested that I launder my pillowcases, and suggested repainting my bedroom, which is (really) currently dark green walls and ceiling.
