Past 600 miles on the bike on the way to Misty's, so I gotta get it in for service soon. Maybe Saturday afternoon. :)

First up at the movie night was Coming to America, which I'd seen part of, and it was quite amusing. Next up was Old School, which I'd seen none of, and it was really good. :D Finally, Matrix: Revolutions, during which I dozed off somewhere during the climactic battle, before Neo got to his destination. Gimme a break, it was after 4am! ;]

And now it's after 10am, and I'm to meet Carson Lee and various other ex-TJers in Fairfax at 10:30 to go have Dim Sum at China Garden in Rosslyn at 11:30. (I decided at 9:15 that it wasn't worth it to drive back to Lorton first.)

Found Ryan's (family's) house pretty easily--including an exciting roller coaster of a road that is part of Popes Head--where I joined Carson Lee, Brian Marshall, Jon Franklin, Steve King, Ryan and his brother (Daniel?). We then drove into Rosslyn in two cars--I was in Ryan's, complete with nav system, and his driving was terrible, but we got there alive. Once at China Garden we were joined by John Blair and his girlfriend--whom I recognized but couldn't remember her name, and still can't after being reminded--and later Dave Chung. The Dim Sum was very good--even though I tried tripe and chicken feet!--and came out to $15/person, not bad at all. While there, I was greeted by Victor Lin, James Tsai, and Praveen Kathpal, who happened to be eating elsewhere in the restaurant. Impromptu TJ reunion! :D

Afterwards, most of us returned to Ryan's house, which is, incidentally, a mansion. Huge, two-story atrium, a guest room as big as my parents' master bedroom, etc., etc.--you know the type. (Also, two gorgeous old Corvettes ('54 and '62) in the garage, as well as a Mercedes and a Jaguar outside.) As 6 of the guys played a 3-hour round of Settlers of Catan, I played John Blair in Super Smash Brothers Melee, and later there was much playing of Mario Kart Double Dash, and later plenty of Ultimate Muscle. I played Carson a round of Cricket on the dart board and soundly beat him; I played Dave two rounds of pool and ended 1-1. After all that, I watched a game of Carcasonne, which is a pretty nifty tile-based land/property-acquisition game, and then there was more Mario Kart DD before we went our separate ways for the evening--some to dinner, Dave and I to our homes.

Tomorrow, I join my family in Manassas for brunch, and later dinner. (And the weather forecast is a few more days of rain! It should cut that out so I can ride more--though I do want to get my bike in for its 600-mile service before too long.)
