At the start of lunch today, there were a couple of footraces in the parking lot between four of my fellow techs--apparently there were some challenges made today and last week, and some of them were carried out today, 50-yard-dash style. :D

Xword puzzle, photos, and "friend of" change

Someone at work had the bright idea to photocopy the Washington Post crossword puzzle so that many people could work on the same one. (Previously, everyone who wanted to work on one scrambled to find a copy of the Washington Post, Baltimore Sun, or USA Today that had an untouched puzzle.) I managed to provide more answers to the other folks at day's end than they provided for me, but mine still isn't complete--though moreso than theirs. Damn foreign stews and authors/producers. :)

[Looked up on Google, Dictionary, and IMDb.com: Satellite of Neptune (Nereid), "Island of the Blue Dolphins" author (O'Dell), Greek muse (Erato), Spanish stew (olla podrida), Indian stew (pepperpot), Cubic meter (stere, which gave me STA for "B&O stop"), and Caron film (Gigi), which -still- leaves me with a few blanks. Boo!]

Photo update: +4 to Pets--(1 2 3) of my bearded dragon, one of my tarantula, plus one of the front of Nathan's and my townhouse. :)
