Dinner, Bikers, Housekeeping
Sep. 7th, 2003 03:27 amDinner was quite tasty, and then Shauna/Matt/Steph/Brendan/I went back to Steph&Matt's, where we (minus Brendan) watched three episodes of Discovery's The Great Biker Build-Off (2: Billy Lane vs. Dave Perewitz, 3: Indian Larry vs. Paul Yaffe, 4: Billy Lane vs. Indian Larry). Those are some crazy mofos (especially Indian Larry) and some hot bikes, great show. :)
Drove (drove! truck!) home, fed/watered all my animals, failed to convince Nathan that there's any point in returning dishes/silverware/empty cans to the kitchen in a timely fashion, b) throwing trash out from around the kitchen and living room in a timely fashion, or c) covering leftovers in the fridge. If anyone has any conclusive evidence to support (c), please let me know. ("Crap can fall in," "The odors leak into other food," and "Bacteria can build up more quickly" seem to be insufficient justification, and I haven't yet tried "It dries out." :P)
Apparently, in the midst of all this rain saturating the entire mid-Atlantic and SE regions, the whole {south/north}west is suffering from an increasingly severe drought. This nifty animated map (from
teri_lee) shows it nicely. :)
However, as of Friday, it's utterly gorgeous around DC during the day, and even a bit chilly--mid50s--at night! Fall has fallen, and right quick. :)
