Terminator 3 was all right. Full of action and special effects, good as part of the overall story, but overall unsatisfying end. No closure, really; not great as a standalone movie or as Part 3. Better rented and seen on a good TV/stereo, IMO.

On the way back, as I recalled the local Blockbuster was open until 1am Fri/Sat, we stopped there and rented Daredevil and Phonebooth. Watched Daredevil once home--good story, casting, acting, stunts, special effects, and soundtrack; I'd watch it again, and not just because Jennifer Garner is hott.* ;)

Andy heard wrong, as he "heard that Phone Booth was stupid." I thought it was an excellent psychodrama, suspenseful and moving, and I highly recommend it. :)

After it was over, we turned to cable TV, as we're wont to do, and watched most of As Good As It Gets, which is also a great movie, that we'd both seen before. (During this movie, I learned that if she tries hard enough, my bird can gain altitude, meaning either a) she needs another wing-clipping, or b) ceiling fans have to be off and windows covered when she's out. I'm not too worried about her interactions with dog, except that the dog--though not malicious--can be very playful, which could be risky.)

Got a call from mom, who wants me to take my spider away (as well as, perhaps, some of the other stuff I left in my room, since the wallpaper guy is coming in a day or two), and who called Petsmart and talked to the wrong Scott for a few sentences before realizing it was the wrong one. My own mother! Shocking! :-o

Happy 26th birthday, Katia!

I finally figured out just what the hell 234 [Bypass], 234 [Business], and PW Parkway do in the vicinity of Manassas... they really just should've given the bypass another number, since its current routing and signage--added well after 234 (now 234 Business) through Manassas existed--are just odd and confusing.

I found this out by heading home by way of my U-Haul locker, retreiving about half of the stuff there--including more books and kitchen supplies, after arriving minutes before the 5pm Sunday-close-of-business. However, the electronic checkin/out system is dumb--after 5pm, attempting to swipe out results in "Area closed" rather than "Your [sic] checked out." I can understand not being able to check -in- after closing, but no checkout--especially given that no checkout means you can't simply check in next time without stopping by the front desk first. :P (Also, I couldn't return my cart to the indoor corral, which ordinarily merits a $15 fine, but I spoke with the desk guy and he said not to worry, he'd return it when he locked up.) One more trip, possibly two, should clear out the locker so I can terminate the contract and stop spending $55/mo for my 25sf climate-controlled space, in favor of picking up $50 of the $100 Nathan and I are to be spending on our shared 90sf space.

Then, onwards to the parents', where I retrieved a few boxes, some speakers, and my tarantula's terrarium from my room, helped my dad finish installing a new slat in the Pergo interlocked laminate wood flooring--no small task, he'd spent all day working on that one slat--helped rehang some recently-dry-cleaned drapes, and snagged a couple slices of leftover pizza before returning home. :)
