Post-Cue, pre-work

Cue rocked! All kinds of 80s goodness, both in the music (Go djkangal!) and fabulous attire (cheshirrrecat and belleingenue, for example! :)
Slept from about 4am to 2pm, and am now sporting a sore throat that was starting last night and carries a headache with it too. :P I think I'll take some Dayquil and lots of water, or something equivalent. (But in the meantime, I'm a 1.5-octave bass, with a strange compulsion to sing a few bars of Swing Low, Sweet Chariot! ;)

Now, off to work, 3-close, and tomorrow--New York!

As far as motorcycle travel is concered, that looks like good travel Friday, good travel Sunday, iffy travel Monday. I'll risk it, partly because I've never made a trip of more than about 100 miles by bike, and I want to try it; partly because someone wants to see/ride it too. ;)

So, leaving for Ithaca Friday before noon, definite plans include Seal & Serpent alumni reception Saturday afternoon and dinner/hanging-out with Katia sometime. Travel from Ithaca to North Babylon (on LI) Sunday morning, hang out with Melody, crash in their guest room "if I'm too tired to travel" Sunday night, then hang out more and return to Manassas. Limited web access, but I'm sure I'll have some--public computer and Seal's network in Ithaca, cable modem at Melody's. Not on AIM or anything much, though.
