Alarm issue again, work, RDR HR interview
May. 6th, 2003 04:28 pmActually had a dream that resulted in me shutting off my alarm this morning--dreamed that my grandmother was calling, and the phone rang several times before the answering machine got it, and I went to check the caller ID and pick up the phone. Fortunately, my mom woke me up around 7:05, and my alarm had in fact gone off (I suppose) at 7. :)
Worked 8-1, had issues with the time clock thinking I was off when I should've been on or vice versa, or maybe I was just hallucinating. Came home, changed into a suit, grabbed some food, and off to Centreville for my interview with RDR's HR people. Very easy to find, very nice building and property, but that's not where I'd be working. :) Met Eileen (receptionist), got some paperwork and was told that Laurie was out sick so I'd be meeting with Irene. Did so, had a nice interviewy conversation, wherein I learned that I'd make a rather nice salary with this job, somewhere near the middle of the 5-digit range. Also, Laurie's the one who knows what's going on with the other interviews and where things might stand, so I should hear from her later this week. Then I spoke with Carlton, who deals with security clearances--I'd be getting Interim Secret immediately, followed by Top Secret eventually--and ran into Suzanne (the woman with whom I'd spoken the most by phone, starting last September) on the way out.
Now, I think it's time for some more food, catchup on LJ and whatnot, and saying:
Happy 22nd birthday,
Ross!
Also, be sure to catch this terrifying descent into OCD. No, really, it's frightening--I know I wouldn't be able to put up with it. (Link from
jude, who was amused--I don't think I'd be amused even if it were fabricated.)
