Phill came over a while before dinner, attempted to visit my macaw (who decided he'd be good to try to bite), hung out with Shauna and I. Played with Tenacious D mp3s, Shauna copied him the two monster mp3 CDs she compiled for me, dinner was had, photos were looked at, and then the three of us went to Black Wolf Coffee. Had some tasty drinks, and some very slowly-prepared cheese fries from Foster's. Came home, watched Ice Age*, which was hilarious and adorable. Now Phill-B-Gone, Shauna's online (@0051) and I'm reading from Birds for Dummies until she signs off.

0059: Well, finished the book. On to the Jan'03 Bird Talk magazine!

0137: Shauna offline, me online. :)

Helped dad de-ornament the tree--I have box of my own ornaments that, since they started accumulating ~20 years ago, now occupy a box about 2/3 the volume of a shoebox, packed in tight. Lots are on the "Scotty bear" theme from when I was much younger, some were made by me in elementary school, many were gifts from immediate and extended family.. good stuff in there. :) (Between each family member's ornaments and the general stuff, we have more than enough to cover a 7.5-ft tree. :)

Worked 3-10:30, and actually got out right at 10:30--finished recovery by closing time (9) and Willy and I fed/cared for everything by about 10; the whole store was ready to Michelle's approval by 10:30. (Given that it's taken until 11:30, 11:45 before, that's impressive. :)

Got some jeweled curly-tailed lizards in the store, they're nifty--long, thin body, pointy snout, colorful. :)

Christina visited briefly mid-afternoon with her friend Sarah; says she probably won't be able to join me on the upcoming ski trip to Wintergreen. :(

On my dinner break, I ran around inside Shoppers for a while--to the deli, got a sandwich, walked towards the front. Noticed it didn't have a mayo packet, went back. Walked towards front, found Hot Pockets, returned the sandwich to the case. Got a Croissant Pocket, walked up.. found something else, put the CP back. Found the other frozen meal took too long to microwave, got the CP again. Efficiency, not always my strong suit. (And it wasn't even indecision! Just repeated change of plans. :)
