Worked 7-3, including receiving a couple hundred tropical fish and probably one or two thousand crickets. Picked up Christina, filled a copy of her survey (for a business class, planning a café/club), went to the mall to find some of her local friends to fill it out, then faked the rest--I filled it out on behalf of Shauna, Steph, Katia, and Amber, as she needed more females in the 21-30 demographic. (Made educated guesses as to what y'all's habits with respect to a café, club, coffee, dance music, occult store, and such. Entirely anonymous, so it didn't really matter what we put, but it was fun to do. :)

Home, visited my bird, and have about 65 LJ posts to catch up on, plus. As usual. :)

In the 1100 hour: Drive to Winchester in Shauna's car
In the 1200 hour: Pick up Shauna from school
In the 1300 hour: Get back to Manassas
In the 1400 hour: Go visit Christina
From the 1600 hour through, most likely, sometime in the 2300 hour: Work

Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] abz6598, 'cause I felt like it:

Ever prank call anybody?
Not that I can remember.. maybe when I was in middle school. Had this book called How to Eat Like a Child (and Other Lessons in Not Being a Grown-Up), Delia Ephron, 1977, with ideas for prank calls. I'd recommend the book, it's a fun read.

Do you have a garden?
I'd rather spend my time/money/energy with friends, online, or tending to my pets--simpler, more immediate rewards. Also, neither seasonal nor weather-dependent. :)

Does everyone deserve a second chance?
Generally speaking. Depends on circumstances, though--the more serious the infraction, the less deserving of another chance.

What's your favorite comic strip?
From the current Washington Post: Probably Zits, but Baldo is up there too. Formerly in the WashPost, in no particular order: Far Side, Calvin & Hobbes, Doonesbury. (Least favorite: Family Circus)
Online: Sluggy, Sinfest, Something Positive, of the ~45 I read

Biggest regret?
I try to live without those. Probably hurting people that I care about.

Do you have any enemies?
Not serious ones.

Once a cheater always a cheater?
As [livejournal.com profile] abz6598 said, "No. Although likelihood is high."

Have you ever punched anyone in the face?
Nope.

Have you ever won a trophy?
Only one I remember was for my T-ball team when I was 8 or so.

Is there anyone at the moment who makes your heart beat faster?
Hard to tell, what with the palpitations and everything. :)

Have you ever had to wear a uniform to work?
For Chesapeake and Petsmart: Khakis or black jeans, company polo shirt. (Hi-Speed was "business casual", EMSI was "sturdy clothes that can get dirty", ResNet was "whatever you're wearing that day".)

What's your all time favorite Saturday Night Live character?
Haven't watched it enough to know any offhand.

What is one thing you are grateful for today?
I've got a beautiful, loving, blue & gold macaw, who's currently across the room from me, slowly destroying one of her wood toys. :)

The Conversatron is currently in the midst of a thread that's been open for over three hours and 560+ posts. (NB: If you've never been to the 'tron, an open thread isn't the place to start checking it out. :)

Update, 11:22pm: Closed at 641 posts. Consarnation!

Also, my macaw likes Cheez-Its, which she won't get many of because birds can't digest dairy products very well. However, it's impressive to see her climb down the wall of her cage with a Cheez-It in her beak while still using the beak as a climbing aid and not breaking the Cheez-It. :)
