Got a call from Bob Aguais '50 this morning, in response to my resume email the other day.. told me all about the company he recently retired from, SAIC, and referred me to half a dozen job postings with names and numbers to call.. not today, of course, but soon. :)

I decided it was high time I order grad announcements from Jostens, since I'll actually be graduating in August (not May like most people).. however, they don't seem to be offering announcements for sale at this point.
I like their announcements, too.. so I emailed them, asked if they had any suggestions.

I suppose, as Laurel suggested, I could create my own.. was hoping to just be able to order nice, customized, professionally made ones, though. And given that I'm not graduating at
the One Hundred Thirty-fourth
Cornell University Commencement Ceremony
Sunday, the twenty-sixth of May
Two Thousand Two
eleven o'clock in the morning
Schoellkopf Field

I'm not even sure what I'd put on the announcement. "I'm graduating sometime in August."

Better!

A small rain storm moved through the area, which cooled things off a bit.. now the weather forceast calls for highs around 80 for the next week, though the DC area is still calling for closer to 90. :P

Now, watching Better Off Dead again. :)

My Visor decided that, once again, it didn't want to sync under Win2K. However, the usual troubleshooting (reinstalling drivers automatically, doing the same manually, device reset) didn't work. Eventually, rearranged connections to put the USB mouse through the hub and the HotSync cradle directly do the other USB port, and it worked fine.
Then, my black ink printed a page well, one half-readable, one quarter-readable.. so I printed in purple, as I've done with the Epson. Need to get new black ink, I do.

Update, one or two minutes later: Scratch that, it didn't work right the next time I tried to sync. Device just isn't installing properly. Gives an error message. ) Grr.

In other news, this evening's activities include ice cream and whatever at Laurel's place, since her parents gave her a lot of ice cream and she's leaving town for six weeks soon. Quel horreur! :)
