Well, crap.

Unfortunately, whatthefuck's mom has vetoed the idea of the dogs staying at their house*, though it'd be fine with just us.. however, Peanut has to come to meet Valkyrie. So, this means we're probably back to our original iitinerary of "travel down on the 4th (Thurs), do everything on Friday (see beracjade, elf, gingerdc9, and maybe strwbrylv), and drive back Friday night."

* Carson had tentiatively offered crash space at his house for a few days, which would've allowed a) cheap housing, b) a more extended stay with more time to do stuff, and c) attendance at Carson's party Saturday night. However, they already have a dog, his mom isn't sure how he'd get along with our dog, and here's no way to separate the dogs during the party.. so that option's probably out. Still investigating.

Oh yeah, almost forgot.

Watched The Crow: City of Angels last night.. forgettable, indeed. It had nice imagery, but wooden acting, a terrible script, and nothing to add to the first, much better, movie.
It got a 3.7/10 at IMDb.com, if that tells you anything.

Good movie..

Snow Falling on Cedars. Love, war, honor, and justice, all in one.. quite good.
(One Jen had wanted to see for a long time, based on the tagline "First loves last. Forever." :)

More gorge!

Since it's far too hot and humid here, Jen, Becca, their respective dogs and I went to the gorge.. ran into a bunch of guys I work with; Peanut consistently tried to eat Ewee (shih-tzu), though she had no problems with any other dogs.. Ewee barked at most other dogs.
The water was so nice.. alas, Jen had her hands full with Peanut the whole time, and we were half-dry and hot again by the time we got back home. :P

The plan:

Wed. 7/3, night: Fireworks at IC

Friday 7/5, morning: Drive from Ithaca to hotel in Springfield.
Afternoon/evening: See beracjade, and probaby gingerdc9 to meet puppy.
Saturday 7/6: See elf, and possibly gingerdc9 again, depending how things go with the puppy.
Night: Drive back to Ithaca.
