A good day, it's been.
Jun. 8th, 2002 12:25 amDay got off to a good start when Hong-Fan emailed saying he couldn't meet today, so I got to hang out with Jen instead. :) First went to the shelter, where they sucked.* Then to Pet Depot, where we visited ferrets, got Jen's ferret some food, and a cockatiel decided he liked me--walked up my arm to my shoulder a couple times. Then we went downtown, where I actually got some project work accomplished--bought some supplies at Bishop's. Then we spent the afternoon working on setting up her room more--me hanging posters/shelves/etc on the walls (and there are a few extra holes in the walls in the bargain!) and her organizing CDs and other stuff.. then dinner (leftover pasta/sauce, still so tasty :) and later a movie--Sliding Doors, which was good and quite quotable, though I can't admit to liking that sort of movie. ;)
And now, most likely, another movie--Better Off Dead, starring John Cusack as an inept suicidal teenager. :)
* They don't think they'd approve Jen adopting Reese--the pit bull mix she wanted before but we thought was gone, but is now back--because a) she lives in a fraternity house, b) she isn't "settled" into housing, and c) it's hard to find housing with a pit bull (or two) because a lot of places discriminate against them.
