Innteresting people.

First, met a couple girls who are friends of various boarders; already forgot their names, but cool people.. I was listening to music (first Pink Floyd, then Sunny Weather) and having a couple beers while repairing the splits in my motorcycle's seat (currently in my room); I also introduced them to my ferrets while they were hanging out in Rick's room. Then, I chatted with Rochelle (another boarder) as she a) avoided sleep and b) played solitaire and minesweeper on my computer, while I continued with the music and seat repair, for an hour or two.
And soon I'll go to sleep, more'n likely.

Why it pays to be nice in public forums.

There was recently a very nasty request or two in Support by an irate individual. She then went and ranted in her journal.. and some ill-advised support volunteers decided they'd had enough and flamed in kind, in her journal--it got out of hand, to the tune of 225 comments on one post, and more apologies by the user in question than I thought possible--and many examples of the petty, vindictive, downright -nasty- behavior in which some people delight, by some friends of the user in question.
I'm not going to link to any of these things--if you want to find them, they're out there.
Damn.

Jen's here! (And Peanut and Storm :)
Apparently Jen paid off her parents so she didn't have to finish her mother-assigned to-do list, and then drove through a ridiculous storm on the way here.. she's here! Yay! :)

Erin rocks!

She sent a package to Jen and I, half of which is stuff for me, half for Jen & Peanut--candy and toys and moist towelettes (?) and dog biscuits and postcards and fun!

Ooh neat..

With the advent of multiple, closable lj-cuts in a post, a patch was put through today so that instead of all of them linking to the top of the talkread (comments) page, each sequential cut links to an HTML name (#cutid1, #cutid2, etc) at the appropriate place in the talkread page.

And that was a tasty, tasty sauce.

Dinner was pasta with home-modified sauce. Sauteed diced onions (1/4 large) and chopped mushrooms (1c) in olive oil, browned a pound of spicy italian sausage, added all of those to generic tomato sauce (11oz jar), added a handful (3/4c) of chopped cherry tomatoes, some pepper, garlic powder, oregano, thyme, and a bay leaf, and simmered for a good while. Sooo good (and very chunky). :)
