I'm getting ready to go take a final.. I'd much rather still be in bed.

I studied by skimming my notes and handouts from my DFMA class; realized I'd forgotten both mechanical pencil and eraser when I got to the exam, so substituted a wood pencil and pencil sharpener, and a bit of white-out when necessary; I finished, double-checked my answers, and was still the first one done (as far as I know).. so either I did really well, or only thought I did--I'll go with the former until shown otherwise. :)

Then I came back and got one of the most enthusiastic receptions that Jen's ever seen Peanut give someone who wasn't Jen. :)

Also, it was odd seeing the sun in that part of the sky (y'know, low, morning, that kind of thing ;)

Jen, thank you for making this past half-week as good as the one before it. :)

After my exam this morning (one down, one to go!) we went walking with Peanut.. went down into Fall Creek gorge, back up the trail to Watermargin and down through west campus.. through the gorgeous Baker complex, then down to the Class Halls.. showed her where I lived freshman year, got some ice cream in Noyes, sat in the sun to eat melty ice cream.. then up through the Gothics, up University Ave, down the trail by Chi Psi, and back home.. then, alas, she had to pack up and go, after I took some pix of her tattoos like she wanted (and another couple of her dog :). And unlike Tuesday, she can't come back tonight, 'cause she has work--but I do believe I'll be seeing her again before too terribly long.

Also, the weather's gorgeous, and I hung out with Alex/Sarah/Alan/Nick/Tarah as they played some croquet. They also added a few rules I'd never heard of--"poison". The first person who completes the circuit, instead of immediately winning, becomes poisonous: On their turn, they try to hit the other players' balls with their own, which kills the other player--but if the other player hits the poison ball with their own, they get a contact shot to try to hit the poison ball through a wicket, in which case the poisonous player is out. Last one standing wins. :)

I look damn fine at the moment. Navy pinstripe suit, silver shirt, silver/black/grey tie, all cleaned up and everything.
(Senior Dinner at Seal this evening, ended a while ago.. annual tradition wherein the outgoing seniors are roasted/toasted by the brothers who choose to do so.. nice semiformal affair.)

And I just talked to Jen for a while as she's nearing home on her drive, so I'm feeling good too.

Also, Phill uploaded this song to me, from the Spiderman soundtrack.. good stuff. :)

As it is, I'm feeling much better than after Jen left on Tuesday, but the fact that she called from the car, and again after she got home, and plans to call again after she gets back from the mall/food and before she goes to work, makes it all the easier.

Yeah, third phone call of the day, a bit before Jen had to leave for work.. was amusing because in the background, her roommate Tina was complaining about the bleach in her hair.. her hair is naturally brown, or dark blonde, or something like that, recently dyed black--and she now wants to bleach it. So at the moment, her roots have been bleached to peroxide blonde, but the black-dyed rest of her hair is slowly making its way through dark brown, and the bleach is irritating the heck out of her scalp. Then Jen left for work..

...and called me back a bit later from the road (while driving, and putting on shoes and socks.. :b) because she realized that since she started using USA Datanet, a call to me has become local, and thus free (from the cellphone standpoint) after 9pm. =)
