So, instead of doing something practical like sleep..

..Katia and I carved pumpkins! We would have done them earlier, but didn't have time. So, we started around 11pm on Oct31, picked out a cat pattern for her (to which she added fangs, bats, and "Vampirekat"), designed a pattern for me, put on some music (first Scary Movie Music, then Depeche Mode, then random other stuff) and emptied and carved the pumpkins. The seeds are soaking in salt water, the kitchen and dining room are clean once more, and now we just need to take some pictures, and sleep can be upon us. =)

Update: Lots of pictures taken (2 rolls between carving--Katia's first pumpkin and all--and results, and the full moon in a tree), to be developed by Friday or so, soon thereafter to be scanned and posted. :)

- Actually got to class on time
- Got Wednesday's notes from another class, and a copy of the prelab due today
- Copied said prelab in about 9 minutes prior to lab
- Abandoned my previous lab group (one member skilled but irresponsible, the other responsible but unskilled)
- Got my third midterm back.. a 93/100. This rocks. =)

From Laurel: (In case you were still wondering) the avg on the controls prelim was 73; sd=13; high=97, with 3-4 people >90.
- Successfully installed new fluorescent fixtures in the bathroom in the house. (When I get home, I'll install the new timer switch, new bulbs, and give it a go. :)

Note to self: Don't cut/break fiberglass while wearing short sleeves.
