So my friend Will Jacobs (formerly worked HelpDesk with Neal) played a guitar set at Juna's Café on the Commons this past evening to open for David Linhart.. Neal and I went (Katia couldn't come because she had a short play to perform in, entirely in Spanish, a language I don't speak--I'll probably go Sunday anyway, though), liked Will's stuff, didn't so much like David's.. he was quite good technically, strong Ben Harper influence, but his music was too mellow, the lyrics didn't jive with the music, it wasn't very interesting.. but we stayed until the end (Will played 9-10, David 10-11:30, much boredom relief was had during David's set with a Sharpie marker, a lighter, a quarter, and a plastic cup that ended colored and destroyed) and then walked over to the State St. Diner for food.
Then back at the house, a contingent of SCD who'd been swimming in the gorge stopped by to check out my new toy.. and that's that. Now, back to merriment outside. :)

Tonight's movie was Snatch. Very entertaining, very well/creatively filmed, and be sure to have the 'pikey/come again?' subtitles on :)

"And the fact that you've got 'Replica' written down the side of your gun, and the fact that I've got 'Desert Eagle .50' written on the side of mine, should precipitate your balls into shrinking, along with your presence. Now... fuck off." - Bullet-Tooth Tony

Wow..

Myst 3 is quite possibly the most beautifully rendered game I've ever seen. And according to Dave, it has full 360º viewing, too.
...not that I'd have time to play it, but still.
