MovieStuff

Well.. last night, we attempted to watch Catch-22. (I have the book at home but haven't read it.) Unfortunately, it started skipping terribly about 15min in. So I took it out, cleaned it with warm water and tissue in the proper fashion. It got a little better, so we continued. Then it started skipping, so I cleaned it with a camera-lens-cleaning cloth. It got worse, so we gave up and watched something else, which was a shame because it was looking to be a very entertaining movie. Another time, then.

I think all DVD-loaning places should run their DVDs though a Discwasher cleaning before loaning them out again. That, or beat the people who touch/scratch the surface.

Anyway, we then watched Born on the Fourth of July instead (of which I've listened to the book on tape.) It was good, and Tom Cruise really can act, but I don't think it was what I was in the mood for.

Today's accomplishments thus far

Caught up on LJ since it came back up.

Cleaned self.

Took all the recycling, kitchen stuff, and trash out of my room.

Cleaned up the remnants of the other night's party from out back.

Bleached trash can that's been sitting out back for a week or two.

Cleaned ferrets' cage.

Filed receipts cluttering up desk.
