Apr. 11th, 2001 10:04 pmHm.. started the day by getting a good start, by which I mean shower and food in lieu of class; met Christian in the RoboCup lab to discuss improving the RoboFlag lighting.. stayed there and didn't actually study for the prelim for a while, instead of going to the scene shop (not great, I really need more hours this semester than I have left scheduled) then headed out toward the libraries to actually study.
In front of Day Hall I ran into Pam and some SCD pledges, selling irises to benefit Special Olympics, bought a few, observed the Cornell Greens' sit-in demanding "Kyoto Now!" (i.e., they want the Ivies to take the initiative and adopt the Kyoto Protocol, reducing emissions to 7% below 1990 levels, as a start to the rest of the country--since although the US helped write it, they didn't join it), and went and studied.
Serendipitously, I ran into Jilli and her dad outside Day Hall, and we picked Hai Hong for dinner (they wanted Chinese).
Delivered the irises to Katia's room, went home, got picked up for dinner (I'd never been to HH before, I'd just heard excellent reviews), had a good time, and got dropped off at my prelim..
eh.
It went alright, not as bad as last time, but that ain't saying much.
