parties

well, first Seal had a Wine & Cheese party, which was pretty cool.. 5 reds, 5 whites, cheese/crackers/pepperoni/veggies, classical & jazz musics, semiformal attire.. 'twas good. 'specially since i'm taking Wines this semester and actually knew a few things about some of the wines :) then i walked Erin home (after hanging out w/her for the last chunk of the party), and think i have a better friend in her than previously.. 'tis good.

then i followed Brian (whom i normally dislike much) and Neal and a girl down to a party at watermargin, which pretty much rocked. there were at least 8 people there that i knew from elsewhere (habitat, friends' houses, theatre, work, class), Sunny Weather was playing (Roots Rock, Reggae, & Zydeco--they're awesome, i got their latest CD 'Red is the Color')

..but rather the coolest part was one particular person, Bria (Brihannala, actually), whom I know cuz she's a techie (yay techies!) and has been hanging lights lately same times as me.. I was kinda interested, but thought I might be headed towards dating Esther. but since that isn't the case.. well, flirting is fun, 'specially when the object thereof doesn't seem to mind ;)
So i left the party with Bria and 4 of her friends and walked them back to their dorms (one girl was drunk and lived on west, the rest sober and lived on north in Dickson) and i came home.. and if i'm lucky, i might have lunch with Bria before hitting the theatre Monday afternoon =)

Troupe reference: she reminds me of Jilli, but more generally outgoing :)

Of course, seeing if Bria's free for lunch was relying on her possibly checking her e-mail before that time, which may or may not be a reasonable assumption. I get the impression she's not much of a computer person, which didn't occur to me when I mailed this morning.. grr.
(I think I was spoiled by Kristy, who was online all the time and would check e-mail when she was in the lab, etc..)
